Rick Ross Enlists Kodak Black & T-Pain to Rep the Sunshine State on 'Florida Boy'

We saw Rick Ross deliver his very raw eighth studio album Rather You Than Me early in 2017, but the M.M.G. boss has been keeping it quietly lately.

Known as one of the most prominent figures in Florida rap today, Ross dropped a new anthemic ode to the sunshine state on Thursday (Feb. 1) and it was only right for Rozay to link up with with two more Floridians for the record, tapping the controversial Pompano Beach rapper Kodak Black and the Tallahassee crooner T-Pain.

The track is highlighted by a swooning melodic sample, a warm fuzzy bassline, and booming 808s. Ross opens the song rapping leisurely about having made a lavish life, "Easter Sunday at church, prayed at the pulpit/ I'm rockin' rollies with homies I made some moves wit," he flows.

T-Pain assists in the hook, "Yeah, my momma raised me, F-L-A paid me, I beat all of them cases, I'm on," he croons in a sweet melody before Kodak closes out, shouting out the home team, "And we don't even need a chorus/ We do this shit for Florida, I was rich before touring."
