Chris Brown's Birthday Wish to Rihanna Sent Fans Into a Frenzy

Chris Brown continues to keep Rihanna’s name in his mouth. The crooner posted a throwback photo of his ex-girlfriend on Instagram Tuesday, Feb. 20 to mark her 30th birthday.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY @badgalriri,” he simply wrote.

Rihanna hasn’t responded publicly to Brown’s post, but many in the “Questions” singer’s comments made it clear they aren’t here for it.

Several remarked on his 2009 assault onRih after the Grammy Awards, which resulted in him pleading guilty to felony assault. Brown was sentenced to community labor and placed on probation.

“It’s funny how you are so supportive to someone who literally beat her and he was abusive to her,” someone said.

“Are you going to beat her again?” another person asked.

Someone urged Brown to delete the post while a different person said, “YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SAY THIS.”

Still, some delighted in Brown’s birthday wish to his ex and felt others were overreacting.

“He can’t say hbd w/o y’all thinking he tryna shoot hit shot? He got a whole girlfriend 🙄🙄 y’all so negative for no reason 🙄 get a hobby,” someone said.

“Y’all so negative,” another added. “The past is the past they’ve made up.”

“This shows nothing but MATURITY,” someone said.
